This program covers instruction on the array of post trauma stress reactions in others, vicarious traumatization, along with the process of demobilization, crisis management, and conducting critical incident debriefings.  The attendee will receive basic instruction on how to conduct Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD) for personnel, understand the purpose for CISD and the debriefing model, and learn how to help those who have experienced trauma in their lives.  The attendee will also receive instruction on the tools for effective communication skills via active listening techniques through applied learning techniques and exercises.
